Wang Anshi

Wang Anshi, a native of Linchuan, was a well-known stateman, thinker and writer of Song Dynasty. He had been the prime minister of North Song Dynasty, advocating social change, and launched a reform which had historic significance. He was called “the reformer of the eleventh century in China” by Lenin. Though there were also some negative opinions on him, his reforming spirit and courage had far-reaching impact.
