Shu Tong
Shu Tong, a native of Dongxiang County, was a revolutionist who joined the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) in 1926 and participated in the Long March, the Anti-Japanese war and the War of Liberation. After the liberation in 1949, he had been the governor of Shangdong Province, and then vise president of the PLA military academy. He had also been the chairman of Chinese Calligraphy Association. His calligraphy was unique in style, and was called “Shu style”.
